CLOUD COMPUTING

This is the providing and delivery of computing services ranging from application to storage and processing power over the internet. ‘ It’s work by enabling companies to rent access to computing service without owing and maintain it, avoiding of enormous cost and complexity purchasing their own information technology.

Cloud computing model:

1).Infrastructure as a service: is the foundation and building block of computing, that can be provided by either a virtual or physical service.

2).Platform as a service: is the next layer up which includes networking, storage and virtual service. It’s included all tools and software developers, needed to build application.

3).Software as a service: is the most common version of cloud computing which offer application as a service. Users of cloud computing services

4).consumers: consumers are of different categories: individuals, a small business firm or a department in a large company.

5).Service provider: they offer and provide cloud computing services to consumers, it’s include: private companies who offer services to a specific company. Public cloud which offer services to General public.

6).Service designers: they create complex tools services and applications of the first three which all services can be done at time.
Benefits of cloud computing services

7).Zero capital expenditure: companies using cloud computing spend little or nothing at all on information technology, therefore reducing cost.

8).Improved information technology staff efficiency:it’s improved information technology department by making them concentrate on other relevant issues, reducing work load.

9).Easily accessible: client would be able to access their data and application from any were at all time through internet.

10).Back up and recovery:Data can be recovered with ease Incase of any lost.

11).Security:Information or data stored in the cloud is secured since access is usually passworded .

12).maintenance: Their service is saddle with responsibility of upgrading service software and hardware not the organization. 7. Zero administrative cost:With cloud service paperwork is not needed. stored on the cloud can be hainternet fraudsters.

DISADVANTAGE

1.Cost of control: Companies are scared of loosing control of the operation.

2.Lack of technical skills: Most companies lack the technical skill to carry out this function

. 3. Data infection: data stored on the cloud can be hacked by internet fraudster..

Ways in which cloud computing can be applied.

In Nigeria now when they was a national lockdown, due to the corona virus, companies have to seek means through which they could carry on their operations, most companies used cloud computing service to provide their service over the internet to their customers. Where by enabling sales, conference, contract signing and so on.

Cloud computing have succeeded today in changing the following human behavior and environment.

1. Education:Institutions are offering vast range of service to students,staff, enabling them to access data any were (portal to pay fees e.t.c) at any time, online registration and learning activities.

2. Social life: industries such as music, video, stream, online gaming and google search engine can testify how impactful cloud computing is to our society with cloud computing invest in one part of the world can reach all corners of the world wide. eg. football matches it also fasten and encourage friendship investing with the introduction of school network like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter e.t.c .

3. Health: cloud computing technology has aid health care industries, enabling sharing and management of patients data to reduce operational cost and also assist patient to access their medical reward through any internet connected device.
